Bachelor Thesis Project
about.
My bachelor’s thesis project explores the development of a simplified, Design Thinking–based process guide for Corporate Design. It aims to make complex design processes more accessible and applicable, particularly for design students.
By combining strategic analysis with creative exploration, the project highlights how methods can support decision-making while still allowing flexibility and iteration.
The guide was developed on the basis of extensive literature research as well as interviews with design students to identify user needs.
challenge.
Corporate Design projects often involve complex, non-linear processes that can be difficult for students to navigate, especially when theoretical frameworks are presented in an abstract or overly academic way as students stated in interviews. The challenge was to translate established Design Thinking principles and extensive research findings into a clear, practical guide that simplifies decision-making without oversimplifying the design process itself. At the same time, the guide needed to remain flexible enough to support different project contexts, individual workflows, and iterative ways of working.

result.
Earned a 1.5 (A-) thesis grade, demonstrating the successful translation of academic research into an accessible physical and digital guide.
